"I believe in the power of the body, mind and spirit to heal itself and return to a state of well-being and true joy. I am committed to helping people find their path to health, wellness, balance and joy in their everyday lives. I partner with each patient and together we create an individualized healing plan that embodies each persons unique circumstance."
Melissa is nationally certified as a Diplomat in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Her undergraduate degree is in Professional Health Sciences. In 2006 she earned her Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from East West College Of Natural Medicine in Sarasota, Florida.

In 2009 along with clinical practice, Melissa went back to teach at EWCNM. She taught several didactic classes and served as a student clinic supervisor.

In 2013 she became certified in Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging as a breast, thyroid and carotid artery health screening technique.  She utilizes the latest state of the art infrared imaging equipment to provide painless, no touch, radiation free breast health screening for women and men of all ages.

Melissa specializes in fertility/reproductive medicine, IVF support as well as women's health and pediatrics. She combines acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutritional counseling, homeopathic medicine and essential oils to create a mind-body-spirit centered path to healing.

She was accepted into and is currently involved in a two-year "Maternity Acupuncture Mentoring & Peer Support (MAMPS)" program - a highly competitive educational training/internship specifically geared toward the treatment of fertility and maternity care with Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs and gets out in the Gulf of Mexico to paddleboard as often as possible.
